Mark Saab is the co-founder and co-owner of Advanced Polymers, Inc. Mark holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Plastics Engineering from the University of Massachusetts – Lowell. He has nearly 25 years of experience in the plastics industry, including 20 years in medical devices, and holds over 30 patents. Mark is a member of the Society of Plastics Engineers, as well as a member of the Plastics Advisory Board at UMASS Lowell. He also consults for medical device manufacturers. He has authored several papers on medical plastics and has been a guest speaker at the Medical Design & Manufacturing Conferences.
Since 1989, when Mark co-founded Advanced Polymers with his wife, Elisia, it has grown successfully each year and it continues to be the manufacturer of the world’s thinnest, strongest, and smallest heat shrink tubing. Advanced Polymers is also a key OEM manufacturer of non-compliant, semi-compliant and compliant balloons for the medical device industry, as well as a manufacturer of custom balloon catheter subassemblies and extruded tubing.
